DriveBC is the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Transit's traveller information system. By providing timely road condition and incident information for the provincial highway system, motorists can decide when to travel and what route to take. This information is updated at regular intervals and as highway conditions change. Traveller information is provided only for provincially-managed transportation routes in British Columbia. Federal, municipal, forest service and industrial resource roads are not considered part of the provincial highway system, and therefore are not reported through DriveBC.
Note: Severe weather, sudden temperature changes, snow and rainfall can cause road conditions to change rapidly. As such, the information provided by DriveBC may not always reflect real time conditions. Neither the ministry nor its maintenance contractors are responsible for differences which may exist between current conditions and conditions reported through DriveBC. Drivers are reminded to exercise caution at all times.
DriveBC provides information through a desktop public website (www.drivebc.ca), a mobile friendly website (www.drivebc.ca/mobile) and through DriveBCs automated phone service (1-800-550-4997), available toll-free from anywhere in North America, 24/7.
