A. In British Columbia, highway maintenance and repairs are provided by local highway maintenance companies contracted by the Ministry of Transportation and Transit.

A. The Province and its contracted maintenance companies have agreed that the maintenance contractor should be the first point of contact for citizens to report a highway problem.

Q. Why is the map marked out in service areas?
A. Thoughout the province, different maintenance companies maintain different areas of the provincial highway system. There are 28 separate areas throughout the province.

Q. Why does the mobile page differentiate between "Provincial Highways" and "Municipal or City Highways and Roads"?
A. Cities and Municipalities either manage their own maintenance or contract separate maintenance companies to maintain roads and highways within their city or municipal boundaries. Provincial highways running through city or municipal boundaries are not maintained by the Province.

Q. Why is there separate contact information for the Sea to Sky Highway and William R Bennett Bridge?
A. Concessionaire agreements are in place to design, build, finance and operate these highway segments. The concessionaire have contracted different maintenance contractors to manage these particular routes.

Q. How soon after reporting a problem will there be a resolution?
A. All problems reported are evaluated by the highway maintenance company. The timeframe for resolution is depends on the severity, type and season the problem is reported in.

A. Try zooming in on the location with the zoom in/out located in the top left hand corner.

A. Use the "back" button in your browser (or on your device) to return to a previous screen.
